24scan-600The New York Times reports that Sartre Stuelke, an artist-turned-medical-student, is using a CT scan to peer into everyday objects — like stuffed animals, Big Macs and cell phones. The results are often hauntingly beautiful or just weirdly ghostlike. I have to say I’m not surprised the electronic gadgets are generally disappointing — they rarely have visually interesting gears or pulleys or wheels, so they show up as blocks of neon. And the food kind of looks like you’d expect it to, except for the radioactive-looking colors. Hands down, the best are the toys.
