sewsister-4001Megan Summerville! The Austin-based lingerie designer, CEO of her own company called Sew Sister, beat out 22 other finalists for the title of Texas’ Next Top Designer. Organizers held a special gala last night at Victory Park’s former LFT space for an evening of fashion and fun (we’re still wondering what the heck was in those green vodka drinks). Models sauntered out to “Lady Marmalade” (soul sister/”sew” sister, get it???) in peek-a-boo girly bras, panties, garters and nighties. “I’m so chocked up right now, I can’t say anything!” the intimates designer exclaimed when she took center stage after the announcement. Summerville will receive a prize package worth $40,000 that includes, cash, a studio space, mentorship from industry pros and more.

We also chatted with designer/sculptor/artist/Project Runway alum Elisa Jimenez, who produced a special “fashion rock opera” for the evening. More on that later when we get our hands on pics…

does not give credit where credit is due – enough said!!

    • Disappointed in ‘disappointed’

This is the most untrue statement ever. I have seen her give credit to everyone that works for her and some that don’t. Whoever ‘disappointed’ is, needs to get over their own insecurities and stop being so petty.
