When Aerosmith comes to town a week from Sunday, the band will do something that I wish other long-surviving acts would do: play an album in its entirety. At the Superpages.com Center concert, which will also feature Texans ZZ Top, Aerosmith will play Toys in the Attic from front to back. So while you could have guessed that you might hear “Sweet Emotion” and “Walk this Way,” you’ll also hear the other songs on the album that have been in mothballs since the ’70s.
And really, why not? Sure, it might mean that you don’t get to hear “Love in an Elevator” or “Janie’s Got a Gun” for the millionth time in your life. But is that really so bad?
