A VIRTUAL MAKEOVER: Frequent visitors to Guide Live – the entertainment section of dallasnews.com – will notice that the site has undergone a significant facelift. The new site is much more colorful and photo-driven than previous versions. The site also features the new Whatever Blog, which promises, “an offbeat look at the fun, weird and goofy side of Dallas-Fort Worth and beyond.” The link doesn’t seem to be working this morning, but that’s surely a temporary issue.

WE HAVE A DEAL: The musicians of the San Antonio Symphony have ratified a new three-year contract with the symphony that will ease the organization’s move to the city’s new Tobin Center for the Performing Arts in 2014. The musicians had been playing under a contract that expired in 2011. Settling on a new contract has been tricky as the symphony’s financials have been unpredictable to say the least. The details of the new deal are at mysanantonio.com.
