Art&Seek is very excited about this Big Deal. We are collaborating with the Fort Worth Opera are to bring you two very special evenings of music and opera insight. The winner of this Big Deal will receive free admission for two to “Portrait of a Silenced Saint.”
“Portrait of a Silenced Saint” is a panel discussion to introduce viewers to Daniel Crozier’s opera With Blood, With Ink. The opera, which depicts the story of Sor Juana Inéz de la Cruz, the 17th century Mexican nun, writer and women’s rights activist, will have its world premiere during the Fort Worth Opera’s 2014 Festival.
In addition to the composer, librettist Peter M. Krask, and Fort Worth Opera General Director Darren K. Woods will participate in the discussion that will be moderated by Art&Seek’s very own Jerome Weeks. There’ll be a reception prior to the discussion with Ballet Folklorico troupe Sol de Fort Worth performing. You’ll have two opportunities to join the conversation when the Latino Cultural Center in Dallas hosts the discussion on Oct. 1 and when the Fort Worth Modern Museum takes it turn at hosting duties on Oct. 2.
