In the Art&Seek Spotlight, we’re dancing to a new beat. The South Dallas Cultural Center hosts “La Cultura Cura,” Saturday at 2 p.m. to introduce people to Afro-Latin culture. Visitors can show off their moves to salsa, merengue, bachata, Afro-Peruano, cumbia and punta and sample culinary delicacies from the Caribbean. The event is sponsored by Making Connections, Inc., an organization that aims to increase cultural awareness in the community. Making Connections educates children and parents alike, and people of all ages are invited to today’s event. Click here to see photos from a previous La Cultura Cura event.
